Sfax is the only secure electronic fax management system that is 100 percent dedicated to the health care industry.

Sfax is an internet-based, secure, HIPAA-ready system that can be sold as an easily integrated add-on module to existing applications or sold as a stand-alone solution. It is easy to use, has low service and support requirements, provides a complete log and audit trail for all fax documents, and completely eliminates the manual paper processing of fax documents.

It is sold through a network of health care software vendors and value-added resellers (VARs) who want to help their customers improve efficiency and profitability.

How it works:

Users of Sfax simply log on through a secure Web site.

Once inside the system, the user can:

Send a fax directly from any computer application
Manage notifications and automatically create a complete audit trail of every fax document
Receive, view, route, store and search on all fax records

To send a fax – Process time approximately 30 seconds:

With the document open, the user selects the print option, then selects the included fax print driver and clicks OK.
Once the login screen opens, the user clicks continue.
Now the user is on the fax send page where all of the cover page, recipient, tracking and billing code information is entered.
After sending, the user will then receive an e-mail notification showing that the fax has been successfully sent.

To receive a fax – Process time approximately 30 seconds:

The recipient receives the fax as they would any fax document, and processes it as they normally would to the sender’s designated toll-free number. The recipient does not need to be on the SecureCare Fax system to receive a fax
The user then receives a secured e-mail notification showing that the fax has been received.
The user clicks on the hyperlink to review the fax online through the SecureCare Internet-based application.
A browser window will pop up prompting the user for their user name and password.
The document then opens in the Sfax viewer.
Once in the viewer, the user can manipulate the document as needed to view, print the fax in PDF format, or forward the fax or a particular page within the fax to another user within the Sfax system.
The inbox resembles Microsoft Outlook™, allowing the user to manage and view all messages and faxes easily.
The search feature allows the user to search the Sfax server for any individual fax. All faxes are stored on the server for 365 days.

Distribution:

Sfax is distributed to end-users through its growing network of health care channel partners, including health care software vendors and value-added resellers (VARs) already servicing the health care industry. Channel partners are able to sell Sfax in an integrated module or as an add-on service to their existing software platform.

The company can also sell Sfax direct to health care end-users.

Channel Partners - Resellers
Sfax is sold through a network of health care software vendors that are billed monthly for their customer’s activity on a per fax page basis. This reseller model is expected to be the primary source of revenues for SecureCare. This model is very advantageous as it results in fewer billing relationships for SecureCare to manage, which in turn reduces SecureCare’s operating costs. The resellers are responsible for billing, collecting payment, training and supporting their customers.

Channel Partners - Sales Agents
SecureCare also has a network of health care sales agents that promote Sfax to their customer base and direct them to purchase the system directly from SecureCare. In this model, SecureCare bills the end-user directly and is responsible for training and support. Each end-user is billed monthly and at a higher rate compared to the reseller model, which helps offset the costs associated with sales commissions, end-user training and support.

Company History

Founded in 1999 by health care executives, SecureCare introduced its first completely Internet-based document exchange and eSignature technology to the health care industry in 2002. In 2005, the company completed a total re-architecture of its technology onto the Microsoft.Net platform and in late 2005 the company made a strategic decision to enter the hosted electronic fax service market within specific segments of the health care industry. In 2006 the company secured the initial financing required to begin development of the technology behind Sfax. SecureCare has now completed a series of fundraisings that will support the company through the commercial launch of Sfax and provide additional working capital.
